Fig Tree Bay
Protaras's signature beach, a sheltered sandy bay with shallow, glassy water and a small islet you can swim out to.

Fig Tree Bay takes its name from a fig tree that has long stood behind the beach. Golden sand slopes gently into calm, very clear water, which makes it ideal for families and confident swimmers alike. The rocky islet offshore is a popular swim on still mornings.
The beach is fully organised in season, with lifeguards, sunbeds and water sports, and has repeatedly held Blue Flag status.
Good to know
It is busy from mid-morning in July and August. Arrive early or come towards evening.
