Makronissos Tombs
A small Hellenistic and Roman necropolis of rock-cut tombs on the coast west of Ayia Napa, free to wander and rarely crowded.

On a low rocky rise near Makronissos beach, nineteen tombs have been cut into the bedrock, with steps leading down into their chambers. An ancient quarry and a small sanctuary area lie close by.
It is a quiet, open-air site where you can explore at your own pace, and it combines easily with a swim at the beaches nearby.
Good to know
The site is unfenced and has little shade. Mind your footing on the steps.
