Athalassa National Forest Park
Nicosia's big green lung, a pine-forested park with a lake, walking and cycling trails and picnic spots on the edge of the city.

Athalassa covers a large area of pine woodland and open ground between Strovolos, Aglantzia and Latsia. A network of trails, from short loops to longer routes, links the visitor centre, the reservoir lake and quiet viewpoints over the city.
It is the go-to spot for Nicosians who want to run, cycle or walk the dog, and birdlife gathers around the lake in winter.
Good to know
Summer middays are hot. Come early morning or in the evening, and carry water on the longer trails.
