Kamares Aqueduct
An 18th-century Ottoman aqueduct whose stone arches march across the western edge of Larnaca. It is beautifully lit at night.

The aqueduct was built around 1747–1750 by Bekir Pasha, the Ottoman governor of Cyprus, to carry fresh water to Larnaca from a source several kilometres away. It remained in use until the 1930s.
The best-preserved section, with its long run of pointed arches, now stands in a green strip beside the main road and is lit up after dark.
Good to know
It is free and always accessible from outside. It is a quick stop of about 15 minutes, best combined with the salt lake.
