Thalassa means "sea", and the museum explores how the Mediterranean shaped life on Cyprus. Highlights include Kyrenia Liberty, a working replica of a 4th-century BC merchant ship, and a reconstructed papyrus boat of the kind early seafarers may have used to reach the island.
There are also fossils, shells and displays on marine life, which makes it a good family stop on a hot or windy day.
