Lady's Mile runs for several kilometres along the eastern side of the Akrotiri peninsula. The name is said to come from a colonial officer's horse that was exercised along the sand. The beach is flat, the water shallow, and the atmosphere easy-going.
Behind the shore lies the Akrotiri wetland, so it is common to see birds along the way. Part of the area falls within the Akrotiri British Sovereign Base Area.
Good to know
The southern end is quieter. Facilities are limited to a few beach kiosks, so bring shade.
